Joe Jonas is sending his best to ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato as she begins a new chapter with Jordan “Jutes” Lutes. The Jonas Brothers singer, who briefly dated Demi back in 2010 during their Camp Rock days, gave a low-key nod of support to her wedding by liking a Vogue Instagram post that showcased the couple’s big day.
Although it’s been 15 years since Joe, now 35, and Demi, 32, ended their short-lived romance, they’ve stayed close over the years.
“She’s family,” Joe shared with E! News in 2016. “We’ve known Demi for so many years. We’ve performed with her, toured with her. She’s just incredible.”
He also acknowledged that maintaining a friendship with an ex isn’t always easy. “Sometimes you have to know when to fold the cards,” he said at the time. “I don’t think of her as an ex. We’re really good friends. We’ve gone through so much together and we’re really close now.”
As for Demi, the “Tell Me You Love Me” singer tied the knot with Jutes on May 25 in Santa Barbara, California. Speaking to Vogue, she described the wedding as “so special” and called Jutes “the love of my life.”
“It’s hard to put into words what Jordan means to me,” Demi said in the interview published May 27. “To find a love like this has completed my life in so many ways. We both put in the work on ourselves first to be ready and open to share a life together, and I think that’s a really important part of our relationship.”
Jutes echoed her excitement, saying he was thrilled to “start this life with my soulmate.” He added, “It feels like we’ve been married forever and now we officially are. I’m excited to do life with my best friend.”
