Kesha is entering a new era of full creative control. With her upcoming single Yippee-Ki-Yay featuring T-Pain and her highly anticipated sixth album, the 38-year-old Grammy nominee is celebrating newfound independence.

After years under a major label and a recently settled legal battle, Kesha is now the CEO of Kesha Records, partnering with Crush Music and ADA. "It feels f---ing incredible," she says. "I’ve realized my success was never just about those around me—it was about me."

Her new album reflects her many sides, from wild and uninhibited to deeply introspective. “This is the first time I have no one’s claws in my back,” she shares. “It’s all about freedom—musically, creatively, and personally.”

With singles Joyride and Delusional already out, Kesha says her new music is defined by empowerment. “I’m liberated in every sense—musically, sexually, creatively. For the first time, I’m making music the way I want.”

She also praises the shift toward female support in the industry, celebrating collaborations with artists like Charli XCX and Reneé Rapp. “The industry used to pit women against each other. Now, we’re lifting each other up. It’s amazing.”

Kesha is also a devoted fan of Lady Gaga’s Mayhem. “I was counting down for the album,” she gushes. “Abracadabra, Blade of Grass, How Bad Do U Want Me—all incredible. Gaga is truly one-in-a-million.”

Despite early career comparisons, Kesha insists artists should lift each other up. “People would compare me to Gaga, and I’d be like, ‘Please don’t—she’s my girl!’ There’s no competition in art, only with yourself.”

Now, as she prepares to release her album, Kesha is owning her journey. “I fought so f---ing hard for this freedom,” she says. “Now, I’m devouring life.”
