Kim Kardashian’s bid to purchase her late father Robert Kardashian Sr.’s Bible—which he had gifted to O.J. Simpson after his arrest for the murder of Nicole Brown—was rejected by the former athlete’s estate.

After attempting to privately buy the Bible, Kim's $15,000 (approx. RM70,800) bid was rejected by Malcolm LaVergne, the executor of O.J. Simpson’s estate.
“The amount is why I had no choice,” LaVergne told People in an interview published on March 13. “Why would I spend $15,000 (approx. RM70,800) of estate money—why would I spend $15,000 (approx. RM70,800) in attorney's fees—to sell it to Kim for $15,000 (approx. RM70,800)?”
The Bible, already under contract to be auctioned, would have cost more to remove from the sale than Kim was offering.
“If Kim had offered $150,000 (approx. RM708,000) for it, we would’ve been in court getting this approved outside of the auction,” he added.
LaVergne suggested that Kim could still place a bid on the auction site, where the current bid stands at $9,800 (approx. RM46,300). “She may even get it cheaper than the 15 grand, so who knows,” he said.
The Bible includes a handwritten message from Robert Kardashian Sr. to O.J. Simpson, dated June 18, 1994—one day after Simpson was arrested and charged with the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. (He was later acquitted in the 1995 criminal trial but found liable in a 1997 civil case.)

The message inside the Bible reads:
“This book will help. God loves and he will speak to you with his words. Read this book every day. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child, and he will use you again. I love you and God loves you.”
The Bible, which features Robert Kardashian Sr.'s name embossed in gold, shows clear signs of wear, making it a significant keepsake from the late attorney, who was a close friend of O.J. and a key member of his defense team.
Kim, who has been pursuing a career in law, has often spoken about how her father inspired her to study criminal justice.
