During the 2025 SAG Awards, host Kristen Bell put a hilarious and heartfelt spin on Frozen's “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” to celebrate actors' humble beginnings.
Kristen Bell’s Frozen-themed musical moment at the 2025 SAG Awards was nothing short of magical.
The Frozen star kicked off the night with a witty and nostalgic parody of her iconic song, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”—but with an acting twist.
“Do you wanna be an actor?” Kristen sang, playfully nodding to the unpredictable journey of Hollywood hopefuls. As she performed, screens lit up with throwback clips of some of the industry’s biggest names in their earliest roles.
“Can you scream a lot on Halloween?” she joked, prompting a knowing smile from Jamie Lee Curtis. The tribute continued with nods to Eva Longoria’s pageant days as Miss Corpus Christi USA and Selena Gomez’s childhood stint on Barney & Friends, as Kristen playfully added, “Or be a beauty queen or hug a purple dinosaur?”
The audience—including Timothée Chalamet, Elle Fanning, and Harrison Ford—reacted with laughter (and a little secondhand embarrassment) as clips resurfaced from their early days in showbiz.
The song also highlighted the struggles of making it in Hollywood. “Sometimes you question your ability, there’s no stability, put aside your pride,” Kristen sang, as classic comedy moments from Molly Shannon and Martin Short played in the background.
The parody wrapped up with a nod to Succession star Kieran Culkin’s childhood role in Home Alone before Kristen took a self-deprecating turn. As a clip from her own early commercial flashed on screen, she cringed and finished with a laugh: “Do I wanna be an actor? Yes, I do.”
And with that, Kristen Bell reminded everyone that every Hollywood success story starts somewhere—even if it involves singing to a purple dinosaur.
