Have you noticed the initiatives taken lately in our country to save the environment? From charging consumers for using plastic bags and the banning of plastic straws, these are just some of the small but impactful changes that are happening to care for the environment.
We’ve still got a long way to go because of our low recycling rate—but let’s start today with the CAREton Project! It’s a Used Beverage Cartons recycling campaign by MILO® UHT and Tetrapak that transforms drink packs into ‘green’ roofing tiles and panel boards. These will be donated to the Orang Asli communities through a collaboration with EPIC Homes.
That’s right, those MILO® UHT you love drinking on a hot day can be turned into a home!

They’ve set high goals this year for their campaign. The CAREton Project by MILO® UHT aims to collect and recycle 35 million drink packs in 2019, and to continue collaborating with EPIC Homes to reach out to more communities in need.
Follow these steps to save the environment:
Step 1: Rinse your drink packs and follow the simple steps below on how to Push In Straw-Flip-Flap-Flat your empty drink packs.

Step 2: Dispose the flattened drink pack into a recycling bin. As an alternative, you can also drop off the used drink packs at any of the CAREton collection points. There are close to 500 points across Malaysia. You can search for the one located nearest to them via http://recycle-easy.com.my.
This is to ensure that your used drink packs are picked up by the right people and sent to the right recycling facility!
And you’re done!
Here are some interesting facts for you to know:
