An Indonesian man named Bayu is now all ‘sayu’…
…because his dad fried his pet fish for lunch!
Bayu, the owner of an Arowana, claimed to be one of the most expensive aquarium fish in the world, was devastated upon receiving the news.

To rub salt to the wound, his brother sent him step-by-step photo of his dad frying the fish to the poor owner.

Bayu shared on his Instagram that he saved up to 800,000 rupiah for the golden arowana at a market in Jakarta four years ago. Today, the market value of the fish would be about 2 million rupiah, he added.
What’s his mistake? Leaving the fish with his dad, but it’s definitely too late now. When the arowana grew too big for his aquarium, Bayu moved it to his parents’ home since they had a bigger fish tank. However, there’s only so much attention his dad could give the ‘high maintenance’ pet.

Poor Bayu… while he accepted his pet’s fate, he was somewhat glad that none of his family member joined in the ‘feast’.
We sympathize with this man but it’s definitely going to take time to heal… will he get another pet fish? We shall wait and see.
