Malaysians have been in turmoil ever since the beginning of this year, with no thanks to the pandemic. With the rise in COVID-19 numbers, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Putrajaya and Sabah have been subjected to the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) until November 9, 2020.
In a recent conference, when asking about SOPs and the like, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah urged the public to stay home and stay safe. He also highlighted to people to lodge police reports if they witness any mass gatherings during this time that violated the CMCO SOPs.
Unlike the previous MCO and CMCO, the current CMCO allows all businesses to open up for certain periods of time. Dr Noor Hisham explained that it is for the country and its people’s growth of economy. While we need to balance health and economy, he also reminded everyone to not take advantage of it. So, let’s stay home and adhere to the rules and regulations set by the government. We know it’s hard, but nothing worthwhile comes easy.
