Two former stars of School of Rock have taken their on-screen connection to real life! Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli, who portrayed Marta and Frankie in the 2003 comedy classic starring Jack Black, recently got married at the Chateau Grande Hotel in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

The couple’s wedding turned into a mini School of Rock reunion, with several castmates joining the celebration. Rivkah Reyes, who played bassist Katie in the film, shared a video of the festivities on TikTok. The clip, set to Stevie Nicks' iconic song “Edge of Seventeen,” featured glimpses of the cast dancing, laughing, and posing for photos. Reyes captioned the video: “Celebrating the marriage of Caitlin & Angelo with my forever fam #schoolofrock #wedding.”
The song choice was a playful nod to the movie, as it famously featured Joan Cusack’s character, Principal Mullins, drunkenly singing it during a night out with Jack Black’s Dewey Finn.
Hale and Massagli’s love story began years after their time as classmates in School of Rock. The pair started dating in 2016 after reconnecting through the movie's group chat, which the cast uses to stay in touch. In a 2021 interview with Inside Edition, Massagli revealed that their romance blossomed when Hale moved to Florida, where he was living at the time.

"We met up for lunch, dinner, and drinks—and the rest is history,” Hale shared. Massagli also recalled the first time he saw Hale during auditions for the film. “The little blonde girl next to me got called in first and started singing show tunes. She blew the roof off the place. It was excellent,” he said.
Both Hale and Massagli have since moved away from acting. Hale now works as an OB-GYN ultrasound technologist, while Massagli earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2019.
The couple has shared glimpses of their life together over the years. In 2021, Hale opened up about her journey with endometriosis, revealing that Massagli was by her side during her recovery. Most recently, Hale posted glamorous engagement photos on Instagram in September 2024.
From co-stars to newlyweds, Hale and Massagli’s story is a heartwarming example of love standing the test of time—and a little movie magic.
