Singapore aims to establish a safe-passage for its citizens and Hong Kong’s to travel between the two countries. The agreement will take effect on November 22, 2020. However, these five rules should be adhered to! So, if someone you know in Singapore wants to travel to Hong Kong, let them know!

RULE 1 - Travellers MUST test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours from their departure.
They’ll have to take a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, which should be taken minimum seven days before departure. This should be done before departure and upon arrival.
RULE 2 - Travellers MUST Remain In Either Country For 14 Days Before Travelling
In case you’ve gone out of the country in the past 14 days, you will not be able to travel to either country. You’d have to remain in Singapore or Hong Kong to be eligible to fly. However, this excludes those who hold work permits of S Passes in the construction, marine shipyard or other process sectors.

RULE 3 - Travellers MUST Follow All COVID-19 Safety Measures
This means they’ve just got to do the new normal things; wearing a mask, following group gathering restrictions, and other safety measures imposed by the countries.
RULE 4 - Hong Kong Travellers Flying To Singapore MUST Apply For A Travel Pass And Download Singapore’s TraceTogether Mobile App.
The mobile app is needed for authorities to detect the movement of potential COVID-19 infections. Hong Kong travellers will have to register themselves to travel freely in Singapore.
RULE 5 - Travellers Have To Bear The Full Cost Of Medical Treatment In Case They Contract COVID-19.
Well, the above says it all. As long as you follow the rules and stay safe, you should be fine.
Starting November 22, there will be one flight a day with 200 passengers each way.
With the new travel agreement, Singapore hopes it would serve as an example for other countries hoping to open up their borders, while maintaining safety.
We’d really like to fly right now, but with the cases on the rise, it’s better to stay home. But we’re glad Singapore and Hong Kong came up with this plan.
