A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a lone Mandalorian gunfighter explores the outer reaches of the galaxy. Star Wars fans, are you ready to meet The Mandalorian?
Recently, Lucasfilm announced its full cast of its first-ever Star Wars live-action series! The upcoming series will see Narcos star, Pedro Pascal, taking on the titular role!

Pedro will be joined by Deadpool's Gina Carano, Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito and Supernatural's Emily Swallow. Actors, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte have also signed on to join this out-of-the-world cast.
"We're having a great time working with this incredibly talented group and excited for everyone to see what we're up to," said executive producer, Jon Favreau, in a statement.

Jon first revealed that the series would be taking place back in October with a post on his social media account that said:
"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."
The Mandalorian is currently in production and is written and executive produced by Jon. Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) will be directing the first episode and serve as executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. More episode directors on board the upcoming series include, Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
