We keep seeing this over and over again on the internet. We keep hearing this over and over again on news. Wash. Your. Hands. Regularly.
But if you’re still not doing it, here’s an inspirational video for you.
A video of Sandra, the orangutan has been circulating on the internet this week amid the coronavirus outbreak, because she’s seen washing her hands, like a good citizen should be doing.
Some Twitter accounts claim that Sandra learnt to wash her hands by watching her zookeepers ramping up preventive measures, but that’s not entirely true. Center For Great Apes, which takes care of Sandra, uploaded the video in November 2019 and the first coronavirus case was reported in December 2019.
But we can always take the good example and leave the bad one. Sandra’s thorough hand-washing techniques tell us one thing; that we all live by examples. On the other hand, the spreading of misinformation has to stop. Always remember to fact-check your information before passing it on to others. Together, we can make a difference.
And, good job Sandra!
