Some people choose their profession based on salary but some out there really listen to what their heart says.
One such example is Elaine Wong Kam Chee, a former software consultant in Germany who left job, returned to Malaysia to become a full-time artist!

Elaine said that she moved to Munich in 2011 to further her IT career. However, her interests were no longer in that field and she wanted to change her life - to be more authentic before it’s too late.
Growing up, Elaine’s works of art were frequently featured in her classroom’s notice board. She was also selected to design and paint her school mural.
Although it was against her principles to bid goodbye to a steady income, she’s glad that she chose the path that definitely makes her heart glow a little brighter.

She now owns an art space called the Hatchery Place, where she pours her creativity into vividly colourful images and canvases.
She describes her paintings as doodly with whimsical elements. One of her paintings that portrays a silhouette of a black cat symbolizes the shadow of her psyche.
We are so proud of Elaine for following her passion! At the end of the day, if you do what you love, you won’t have to work a day in your life!
Would you leave your current job to follow your passion?
