Although there is a little loosening of the rules during the CMCO, all gatherings are still strictly prohibited, which really means there’s no ‘nasi minyak’ for us even if any of our friends get married.

But we’re only human. We tend to miss things when we can’t have them, so we reminisce the good old days and move on. However, this group of gamers went one level up by re-creating a whole Malay themed wedding on their virtually shared screen on GTA!

Using the custom modification, they created an accurate depiction of a Malay wedding, which was later uploaded on YouTube. There were even special performances from the groom’s side, ‘pantun’ recital, players decked in Rela uniforms, tables, chais, buffet line and so on. The attention to detail is mindblowing!

If you haven’t watched the ‘wedding’, here it is:

The creators, Azwan and Arief Solehin said that 40 – 50 players were involved in the event. Since GTA enables players to ‘modify’ themselves and take on missions by interacting with each other, they thought of trying out this idea, with a few others that they have posted on their channel.

Azwan added that they’re in the midst of customizing a ‘Hari Raya’ scene in a traditional village and we’re actually excited to see how it turns out!

Do you know any GTA freaks?
