Netflix has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer and first-look images for the fifth and final season of You, setting the stage for Joe Goldberg’s last—and possibly most dangerous—chapter.

According to the official synopsis, Season 5 follows Joe as he returns to New York City, seemingly ready to embrace his “happily ever after.” However, his past refuses to stay buried, and as old enemies resurface, so do his darkest impulses.

Penn Badgley reprises his role as the obsessive yet disturbingly charismatic Joe Goldberg, alongside returning star Charlotte Ritchie. New cast members include Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews.

Netflix confirmed in spring 2023 that You would conclude with Season 5. Along with the announcement, it was revealed that executive producers Michael Foley and Justin Lo would take over as showrunners, while series co-creator Sera Gamble remains an executive producer.

The psychological thriller originally debuted on Lifetime, but after being canceled following its first season, Netflix picked it up—turning it into one of its most-watched series. Season 4 was split into two parts, premiering in February and March 2023, respectively.

You was co-created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. Foley and Lo serve as writers, showrunners, and executive producers, joined by Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Badgley, Gamble, Leslie Morgenstein, Leigh London Redman, Gina Girolamo, Neil Reynolds, and Marcos Siega. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The final season of You premieres on Netflix on April 24.
