No need to worry over COVID-19 vaccine brands

There is no need to be concerned about the brand of COVID-19 vaccines used under the National Immunisation Program.

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has assured that all the vaccines are safe and have been approved by the relevant agencies.

He adds that he is confident that the mass vaccination effort will go on smoothly and will help the nation overcome the coronavirus pandemic.

Unauthorised COVID-19 vaccine sales not allowed

Only the government is authorised to supply the COVID-19 vaccine in the country.

The Health Ministry says other parties are not allowed to sell or distribute the vaccine, as they could be fake.

This comes after an image went viral recently, promoting the supposed vaccine on an e-commerce platform.

The platform has since denied the image saying no such listing exists.

Don’t buy COVID-19 vaccines online

Everyone has been reminded not to purchase supposed COVID-19 vaccines online.

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says it will monitor any individuals promoting these sales.

This comes after police received two reports recently, regarding a scam involving the sale of the vaccines, resulting in the loss of nearly RM300,000.
