Msia open to discussion on continuing with search for MH370

Malaysia remains open to reviewing future proposals from qualified and capable entities who wish to search for ill-fated Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong says the government is ready to cooperate with Australia and China to resolve the mystery behind the missing aircraft.

"The Malaysian, Australian and Chinese governments had spared no expense and resources to locate the missing aircraft.

"It is our shared aim to find the aircraft and get answers. However, with a heavy heart, we reached the difficult decision to suspend search and rescue until new credible evidence is obtained.

"We wish to reassure you that any reasonable efforts will be made in cooperation with China and Australia, and keep the next of kin informed of any future developments.

MH370, with 239 people on board, took off from KLIA in the evening, on March 8, 2014 headed for Beijing, China, vanished from the radar screen about two hours after its departure.

More people receive Covid-19 vaccine



Almost 140,000 people have already received the vaccine under the national immunization programme's first phase.

Sarawak topped the list, with 22,000 recipients, while 14,000 people in Pahang received their doses.

Meanwhile, more than 3 million individuals have signed up to receive the jab via the MySejahtera app.



Primary school students in Year 3 to 6 will resume in-person classes today.

This comes after pre-schoolers as well as those in the lower primary returned to school last week.

Secondary school students will return next month, after the end of this year's mid-term break.
