Do not cross state borders without a police permit!

The IGP says police will start tightening roadblocks from Friday to Sunday, because it has noticed that many people are not adhering to travel restrictions.

He adds that only certain MCO levels allow interstate travel with a permit and valid reason like wanting to visit a spouse in another state or returning schoolchildren to their hostel.

CMCO extended in KL, Selangor, Johor, Penang and Kelantan

The Conditional MCO has been extended in Selangor, KL, Johor, Penang and Kelantan until the end of the month.

The CMCO in Sarawak has been extended to March 29, while Kedah, Perak and Negri Sembilan will be under the Recovery MCO starting this Friday.

Interstate travel is still not allowed , except for tourism activities for states under the Recovery MCO.

The Finance Ministry is undertaking a study on how to widen the country's revenue base which includes reinstating the goods and services tax.

It is also reviewing tax incentive packages to further consolidate them and make them more targeted and strategic.
