Khairy Jamaluddin: Msia's first Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine recipient

Khairy Jamaluddin became the first person to receive the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine today, after getting the jab at the Rembau Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.
The minister-in-charge of the National Immunisation Program says it was painless.
He also assured everyone that the vaccine is safe and effective, as many countries have already approved the vaccine’s use.

300,000 daily average of COVID-19 vaccine registrations
The government is happy with the number of people who’ve already signed up for the mass vaccination plan.
The Science, Technology, and Innovation Ministry says an average of 300,000 registrations are made per day and is expected to continue to rise.
There are currently over 5.8 million registrations.

Over 1,200 new COVID-19 cases today
Malaysia reported 1,213 new COVID-19 cases today.
Selangor continues to record the highest number of infections with 353 cases, followed by Sarawak, and Johor.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry recorded three fatalities today, raising the death toll to 1,223.
