No need for vaccine awareness programs in schools
Mar 19, 2021
The government has no plans to hold vaccine advocacy programs in schools.
The Deputy Education Minister says it's because the COVID-19 vaccine is only offered to those aged 18 and above.
He says the government will instead conduct nationwide roadshows to raise public awareness on being immunised against the coronavirus.
Currently, close to 6 million people have already signed up to receive the vaccine under the National Immunisation Program.
