AstraZeneca vaccine does not contain animal products

The AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine does not contain any animal-derived product or restricted material.
The Health Ministry says the pharmaceutical company has stated that all ingredients are of vegetable origin.
It has continuously assured that the vaccine is safe and will be used in the country.
Malaysia reported a slight drop in new COVID-19 cases today, at 1,275 along with one fatality.
Selangor continues to record the highest number of infections, followed by Sarawak and Penang.
Meanwhile, Putrajaya, Perlis, Pahang, and Labuan recorded single digit cases.
The reopening of secondary schools scheduled on April 4 and 5, will continue as planned despite 41 Covid-19 clusters detected in various educational institutions since the start of the year.
The Education Ministry says it has prepared the best SOPs for sessions to resume safely.
