The government is considering giving a single dose variant of the Covid-19 vaccine to those living in remote areas.
The Health Ministry says this takes into account the potential logistics and accessibility issues for some rural communities.
It explains that some from these communities may find it difficult to make the long journey from their homes to get a second dose of the vaccine.
This, as 1,199 new Covid-19 infections were reported nationwide yesterday with a further two fatalities.
The bulk of the new cases were reported in Selangor…which had 283 cases, followed by Sarawak and Kelantan.
