Employees allowed to return to office in CMCO areas

The National Security Council has agreed to allow employees to be back at workplaces in Conditional MCO areas from April 1 onwards.
Putrajaya says the previous directive of only 30% of management staff allowed at the workplaces has been lifted.
Selangor, KL, Johor, Penang, Kelantan and Sarawak are areas under the Conditional MCO.
Foreign maids already working in Malaysia previously but are now stuck in their home countries will be allowed to return and resume their contract.
The government says those who wish to return will have to apply for the MyTravelPass and go through the mandatory 14-day quarantine as well as a swab test.
Quarantine costs will be borne by their employers.
Police have taken statements from 8 individuals in connection with the Undi18 demonstration outside Parliament last Saturday.
The IGP says this is not to stifle democracy or freedom of speech but merely based on the Peaceful Assembly Act and adherence to SOPs.
