Ramadan could bring about more roadblocks

Police are considering raising the number of roadblocks mounted nationwide, to ensure SOP compliance during the month of Ramadan.
Bukit Aman says it's to prevent individuals from illegally crossing state borders to return to their hometowns.
Currently, there are 35 roadblocks along state borders nationwide.

Disabled people urged to register with Social Welfare Dept for vaccination program
Disabled people have been called to immediately register with the Social Welfare Department, to ensure that they are included in the National Immunisation Program.
The NGO, Persatuan OKU Sentral says currently, only 600,000 disabled people are registered with the department.
This is compared to an estimated 4.7 million disabled people in the country.

Slight drop in new COVID-19 cases
Malaysia reported a slight drop in COVID-19 cases today, at 1,139.
Sarawak, Selangor, and Johor had the highest number of infections, accounting for more than half of today’s total.
Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 1,304 after four more patients succumbed to the virus.
