over 2.5k new covid-19 cases today

Malaysia reported a surge in new COVID-19 cases today, at 2,551.

Sarawak had the highest number of infections with a spike of 960 cases, followed by Selangor, KL, and Kelantan.

The Health Ministry also reported two more fatalities, raising the death toll to 1,365.

KKM to work with Sarawak for CanSino COVID-19 vaccine

Sarawak is set to receive a boost in their bid to obtain the China-made COVID-19 vaccine CanSino.

The Health Ministry says it is prepared to work with the state government to expedite the procurement of the vaccine.

It also noted that the vaccine will benefit residents in rural areas, as it can be administered in a single dose.

Media platforms told to remove Hari Raya online gambling video

over 2.5k new covid-19 cases today

The MCMC is taking the necessary action after a Hari Raya themed advertisement promoting online gambling went viral on social media.

It has reached out to several social media platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter, to take down the controversial ad.

It also urged social media users to stop sharing the video.

Meanwhile, police are looking into the online gambling video.

Cops say they will identify and call in the video’s producer and actors.
