​Police to conduct spot checks on houses during Hari Raya

Expect police to make house calls during the Hari Raya holidays, to make sure that people are complying with SOPs.

Bukit Aman says it will be similar to last year's checks at open house festivities, to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Among other things, cops will be on the lookout for homes with a lot of cars parked outside, to check if people are flouting interstate travel restrictions.

Nearly 30 schools in Johor have been ordered to close after Covid-19 positive cases were detected among staff and students.

The closure involves 10 religious schools and 17 primary, secondary and vernacular schools.

3 districts in Kelantan will be placed under the MCO for a week starting today, namely Jeli, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang.

This means a total of 10 districts there will be under the MCO, including 7 other districts that have been under a two-week MCO since last Friday.
