A Movement Control Order will be enforced in KL starting this Friday until May 20th.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the SOPs will be similar to previous MCOs.

For example eateries will be allowed to operate form 6am to midnight, but customers are not allowed to dine in.

No more dining in for residents in Selangor MCO areas

Starting tomorrow, those affected by the Movement Control Order in Selangor will not be allowed to dine-in at restaurants.

The state’s Menteri Besar says they will also be banned from eating at hotel buffets.

Take-away services will still be available from 6am until midnight.

He adds that all Ramadan Bazaars in MCO areas will no longer be allowed to operate from this Saturday.

Over 3.7k new COVID-19 cases today

Malaysia continues to report a spike in new COVID-19 cases, with 3,744 infections today.

Selangor had the most cases at 1,548, followed by Kelantan, and Sarawak.

Meanwhile, 17 more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,591.
