Details to be announced soon for next AstraZeneca opt-in program

More details are set to be announced next week regarding another opt-in program for the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, the Minister-in-charge of the National Immunisation Program says recipients of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be able to apply for a shorter dosing interval than the recommended 12-week interval.
Khairy Jamaluddin says the option will be available on the government's COVID-19 vaccine portal soon.

AstraZeneca vaccine recipients to have their second dose appointment rescheduled
Recipients of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will have their second dose appointment rescheduled if the dates given are earlier than the recommended interval time.
The National Immunisation Program’s Special Committee said this in response to queries from the public.
The World Health Organisation recommends recipients receive their second shot 12 weeks after the first jab.

Sight drop in new COVID-19 cases
Malaysia reported a slight dip in new COVID-19 cases today, at 3,551.
Selangor had the most infections with 1,137 cases, followed by KL and Sarawak.
Meanwhile, Perlis and Labuan both recorded single digit cases.
