732,911 individuals fully vaccinated against Covid-19

More than 730 thousand individuals nationwide have already completed both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The states with the highest number of fully vaccinated recipients are Selangor, followed by KL, Johor, Sarawak, and Perak.

Meanwhile, the number of those who’ve signed up for vaccination has risen to more than 10 million.

The interval between the first and second doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine for the opt-in programme will soon be updated to 12 weeks for all recipients.

Minister in-charge of the vaccination programme Khairy Jamaluddin says some vaccine recipients had received a shorter interval as shown on their MySejahtera app.

He says this would be corrected soon to reflect the 12-week duration.

Malaysia reported a slight drop in Covid-19 cases yesterday, with 3,780 infections.

Selangor remained at the top with over 1 thousand cases followed by Sarawak and Kedah.

Meanwhile, another 36 people had succumbed to the coronavirus.
