PM to chair meeting on possibility of full MCO

The PM will chair a special meeting today, to discuss the possibility of a full Movement Control Order nationwide.

The meeting will also be attended by state Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers.

This as daily Covid-19 cases skyrocketed to 6,806 along with 59 fatalities yesterday- the highest daily death figure to date.

Active cases have also jumped to over 50,000.

Enhanced MCOs will be implemented in several sub-districts and localities in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Sabah, and Sarawak from tomorrow until June 4th.

The areas are placed under EMCOs due to a surge in Covid-19 cases and a high infectivity rate.

The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force is investigating allegations of insufficient AstraZeneca doses to two recipients at the vaccination centre in KL.

They stressed that quality is of utmost importance and they will not hesitate to take action if necessary.
