Tighter SOP's to curb the spread of Covid-19

There will be shorter operating hours for businesses, under tighter SOP’s for MCO 3.0.
Starting Tuesday, shops – including F&B takeout and delivery services - are only allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm.
The only exception is for pharmacies – which are allowed to close at 10pm.
Some of the other tighter SOP’s announced by the Senior Minister for Security include cutting the passenger capacity on public transport by half.
While 80 percent of government staff, and 40 percent of those from the private sector, will be asked to work from home.

Meanwhile, the Health Director-General has repeated his call for Malaysians to practice a self-imposed lockdown at home.
He says this is crucial to bring down the number of Covid-19 cases, and help medical staff replenish their supplies and upgrade facilities to accommodate the high number of patients.

Registration for the second round of the AstraZeneca vaccine opt-in program opens today.
Priority will be given to senior citizens aged 60 and above in the Klang Valley, Johor, Penang and Sarawak.
Spots that have not been taken up by the seniors after May 26, will then be opened up to those under 60.
The shots are scheduled to be administered from June 7th to July 27th.
