The Prime Minister has ordered a full investigation into last night’s train crash on the LRT Kelana Jaya line near the KLCC station.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin also called for stern action to be taken immediately.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong says a task force will be set up to probe the collision.

He expects a preliminary report to be prepared by today.

47 people suffered critical injuries while 166 others were hurt in the accident after the train they were travelling in collided with an empty train.

It is the first accident in 23 years of LRT operation.

Meanwhile, Prasarana says its LRT service on the Kelana Jaya Line will operate as usual.
