Cops to conduct stricter roadblocks during lockdown

Police are set to up their efforts to ensure SOP compliance during the country’s full lockdown, which starts tomorrow until June 14th.
IGP, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah reminded everyone to stay at home, adding that cops will conduct stricter checks at roadblocks...
He adds that 800 roadblocks will be mounted nationwide during the two-week period.

Four modes of transportation allowed during total lockdown
Only four modes of transportation will be allowed to operate during the total lockdown, which takes effect from tomorrow until June 14th.
The Transport Ministry says they are private vehicles, taxi and e-hailing vehicles, public transport, and those in logistics including e-commerce businesses.
Only two people, including the driver, are allowed in private and e-hailing vehicles.
However, one additional passenger will be allowed for those attending their medical or COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

Msia reports slight drop in new COVID-19 cases
Malaysia saw a slight dip in new COVID-19 cases, after we reported 6,824 new infections today.
Selangor continues to report the most cases, accounting for 2,111 infections alone.
Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 2,796 after 67 more patients succumbed to the virus.
