Youths to receive RM150 under eBelia

Youths will now receive RM 150 instead of the initial RM100 cash aid under the government's eBelia program.
PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the program will benefit some two million Malaysians aged between 18 and 20, as well as full time university students.
Those eligible will receive the incentive via participating e-Wallet service providers starting today.

Civil servants to take allowance cut for COVID-19 fight
800,000 civil servants are set to contribute a fixed sum of their allowance to the country's efforts against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chief Secretary to the Government says among others, Grade A servants will contribute half of their allowance, while 20 and 10 percent will be deducted for those under Grades B and C respectively.
He says the deductions will be for three months adding that it will not apply to frontline workers.

New COVID-19 cases at over 7k
Malaysia reported a rise in new COVID-19 infections, with 7,105 cases today.
Selangor alone accounted for 2,068 infections, KL with 817 cases, and Sarawak 703.
Meanwhile, 71 patients died due to the virus, raising the death toll to 2,867.
