Children aged 12 and below barred from public areas during lockdown

Children aged 12 and below have been barred from public areas during the total lockdown, with four exceptions.
The exceptions are for seeking treatment, education, exercise or in the event of emergencies.
This after the Health Minister revealed that over 82 thousand Covid-19 cases in the country involved infants and children.
Malaysia reported a rise in Covid-19 infections yesterday, with 7,105 cases.
Selangor alone accounted for some 2,000 cases, followed by KL and Sarawak.
Meanwhile, 71 patients died due to the virus.
There is at least one Covid-19 variant of concern in almost every state.
Data from the Health Ministry revealed that the South African variant was found in 10 states, with a total of 89 cases.
Essential service companies will be given until tomorrow to obtain the latest permission letters from the International Trade and Industry Ministry, MITI.
Police say compounds will be issued after the grace period ends.
Meanwhile, the Home Minister says vehicle movement on roads dropped by around 70% on the first day of the total lockdown yesterday.
