MOH: To ease lockdown SOPs depends on risk assessment

Jun 15, 2021

Status PKP bakal diketahui dalam masa 72 jam | Astro Awani

Any decision to ease total lockdown SOPs if the daily number of Covid-19 infections drops below 4,000 will be based on the health ministry’s risk assessment.

The health minister says this will take into consideration many factors before therestrictions are eased like the daily infectivity rate and the number of deaths.

Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba explained that a total lockdown would be implemented if we reached 8,000 cases and above and an MCO would be imposed for 4,000 to 8,000 daily infections.

Previously, Putrajaya said the government will look into whether to continue or relax the lockdown SOPs if the daily cases drop to below 4,000.
