Over 5,700 new COVID-19 cases today

Malaysia reported 5,738 new COVID-19 cases today, with 1,858 infections detected in Selangor alone.

Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan recorded a spike in infections at 1,086.

The Health Ministry also reported 60 fatalities, raising the death toll to 4,202.

Day 2 of over 200 thousand daily COVID-19 vaccinations

More than 5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have already been administered nationwide.

Almost 205,000 people were given the jab yesterday, with over 90 percent of doses given to first time recipients.

It's also the second consecutive day that the National Immunisation Program passed 200,000 daily vaccinations.

PRDM offers discounts for traffic summonses

Traffic offenders will be offered discounts of up to 50% to settle their outstanding summonses from tomorrow until July 18th.

However, Bukit Aman says road users who are currently on trial for these offences, as well as those who committed major traffic offences are not eligible for the discount.

Payments can be made online and via the MyBayar Saman app.
