KJ: Govt looking into easing restrictions for fully-vaccinated people
Jun 21, 2021
The government is reviewing certain Covid-19 restrictions for fully-vaccinated people, including allowing them to travel interstate.
The Minister in-charge of the vaccination programme says health and science experts are looking into the privileges and freedoms that could be granted to those fully vaccinated.
Despite this, Khairy Jamaluddin says we must continue to adhere to hygiene and safety protocols even if we have been fully vaccinated.
The third phase of the immunisation programme in the Klang Valley will begin today at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
Khairy says this is because 99% of senior citizens there and 88% in Selangor who hadregistered for vaccination had either received their first dose or received their appointment dates.
He adds that those who had registered to get vaccinated from February 23 would get their appointment dates today for vaccination at the National Stadium.
Putrajaya will involve the opposition in a committee to study the reconvening of Parliament and whether it should be done in a hybrid model.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said this following complaints from opposition members that they were excluded from the committee.
He stressed that the government is not denying the rights of MPs or acting against the views of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong or Malay Rulers.
