Over 6k new COVID-19 cases today

Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 cases rose past the 6 thousand mark.
The Health Ministry reported 6,437 infections today, with most of the cases detected in Selangor.
Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 5,108 after 107 patients succumbed to the virus.

Students travelling abroad for studies can apply COVID-19 vaccination via MySejahtera
Students who are set to travel abroad for their studies can now apply for the COVID-19 vaccine via the MySejahtera app.
JKJAV says students can do so through the app's Help Desk feature.
It adds the applications of those who had previously applied are still valid and will be reviewed.
Currently, almost 7.6 million doses have been administered under the National Immunisation Program.

Parliament could reconvene soon
Parliament could reconvene soon, either through conventional or hybrid proceedings amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parliament deputy speaker, Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon said this, following an audience with the Yang di Pertuan Agong today.
Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Harun and Dewan Negara President Tan Sri Rais Yatim recently proposed that a special sitting of Parliament be held in early August, to discuss the possibility of holding a hybrid parliamentary session.
