Malaysia is set to receive supplies of COVID-19 vaccines from Japan and the US this week.

Minister in charge of the National Immunisation Program Khairy Jamaluddin says Japan's donation of one million AstraZeneca doses will arrive tomorrow,

The country will also receive a million Pfizer doses from the US on Friday.

Students travelling abroad for their studies must provide supporting documents when applying for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Minister-in-charge of the National Immunisation Program Khairy Jamaluddin says they must also bring along the same documents during their vaccination appointment.

This, as such students can now apply for the jab via the MySejahtera app.

Meanwhile, early vaccination applicants for work and medical purposes are still required to submit their applications via email.

Over 6 thousand new COVID-19 cases for 2nd straight day

Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 cases stayed above the 6 thousand mark for a second consecutive day.

The Health Ministry reported 6,276 infections today, with Selangor accounting for the bulk of the total.

It also recorded 62 fatalities, raising the death toll to 5,170.
