Perlis, Sarawak, Labuan enter Phase 3 tomorrow

Perlis, Sarawak and Labuan will transition to Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) tomorrow.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the decision was made as they have shown good performance and have met the necessary thresholds set by the NRP.

Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu and Sabah will remain under Phase 2, while Kedah, KL, Selangor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Putrajaya and Johor are still in Phase 1.

Malaysia hit a grim milestone yesterday, after the nation reported 219 Covid-19 fatalities.

This is the highest number of deaths ever recorded in a single day.

Daily cases, meanwhile, dropped to 15,764, with Selangor reporting over 6,000 infections.
