More than 1,000 hospitalised daily in Klang Valley
Aug 06, 2021
More than 1,000 Covid-19 patients are being hospitalised daily in the Klang Valley.
Health Director General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says hospital admissions in Selangor, KL and Putrajaya have gone up by 33% compared with just two weeks ago.
Yesterday we reported 20,596 Covid-19 cases nationwide.
The number of new Covid-19 cases with serious symptoms will be used as a new indicator for the transition into phases 2 and 3 of the national recovery plan.
Officials say the tally of Covid-19 patients in categories 3, 4, and 5 who are admitted into hospitals will be the determining threshold, replacing the previous indicator of new daily infections.
Religious ceremonies for the Hungry Ghost festival are allowed to be held at houses of worship from Sunday until September 6 in compliance with the set SOPs.
However, the National Unity Ministry says the SOP differs depending on the phases in the National Recovery Plan.
