More than 50% of Malaysians to be fully vaccinated by Aug 31

Malaysia will have more than half of its population fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by National Day.
The Health Ministry says efforts to boost the immunisation rate are currently underwayr to stop new infections and reduce hospital admissions.
41.6% individuals nationwide have already received two doses of the vaccine.
Malaysia reported 265 deaths from Covid-19 yesterday, with 69 cases classified as brought in dead.
Daily cases went up for a second consecutive day, after 22,642 infections were confirmed.

26% of the 3,224 Covid-19 cases recorded in Sabah yesterday comprised teenagers and children aged 17 and below.
State officials say all the 866 of them are still not eligible to receive the vaccine.
