Decision to be finalised regarding COVID vaccinations for school kids

A decision will be finalized soon regarding COVID-19 vaccinations among school students.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says he will meet with the Education Ministry on Thursday.
He adds that once a final decision is made, the matter will be presented to the relevant authorities for the next course of action.

Sarawak records most new COVID-19 cases for second consecutive day
Malaysia reported a slight rise in new COVID-19 cases, with 18,547 infections today.
The Health Ministry says most of the cases were detected in Sarawak at over 3,000.
This is followed by Selangor, Johor, and Sabah.

The government has been urged to consider making COVID vaccinations compulsory for all Malaysians.
Penang state authorities stressed the importance of getting vaccinated, especially among teachers, as schools are set to reopen soon.
They say efforts to combat the coronavirus will be in vain, so long as there are those who insist on visiting public areas while unvaccinated.
