Klang Valley to move to Phase 2 of NRP tomorrow
Sep 09, 2021
Selangor, KL and Putrajaya will enter Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan tomorrow.
The PM says movement is allowed between the states without any roadblocks as the three regions will be combined as a single infection zone.
Among the relaxations allowed will be tourist activities within the state for the fully vaccinated.
Barber shops, hairdressers and beauty salons will be allowed to operate fully from Friday for states in Phase 2 and Phase 3.
As previously announced, fully vaccinated parents are allowed across the state to meet their children under the age of 18.
Long-distance couples, who have received two doses of vaccine, will also be allowed to cross state borders to meet their partners.
The fully vaccinated will also be allowed to dine-in at eateries.
Indoor and outdoor sports and recreation facilities, except gyms, will be allowed to operate by appointment basis for fully vaccinated customers, including in Phase 1 states.
Florists and nurseries, hardware stores, and property sales galleries will also be allowed to operate.
Currently, only Kedah and Johor are in Phase 1.
Malaysia has noted more than 19,000 people have died of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
