Malaysia ready to enter endemic phase of Covid-19

Malaysia is ready to enter the endemic phase as the Covid-19 situation improves.
The Health Ministry says there’s a downward trend in average daily cases, the number of clusters and hospital utilisation capacity.
As such, it urged the public not to be complacent with the country’s Covid-19 situation with this positive development.
Interstate travel for tourism activities is open only for fully vaccinated individuals.
The Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister says kids under the age of 18 can travel with their parents or guardians who have been fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri says the relaxation of the interstate travel ban will help affected workers in this industry.
Malaysians have been advised to practice self-control as there’s no longer a ban on interstate travel.
National Recovery Council chairperson Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has reminded the people to conduct Covid-19 self-screening even though it is not compulsory.
The ban was lifted after the nation achieved its 90% target for fully vaccinated adults.
