PM: Adolescent Vaccinations Will Soon Be Included in COVID SOPs

The full vaccination of adolescents will soon become part of all COVID-19 SOPs. 

According to the PM a grace period of three weeks, or until mid-November will be given, before its implementation. 

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says it's so that more 12 to 17-year-olds complete their vaccinations. 

Currently 80 percent of adolescents have completed their first dose. 

On another note the PM announced that Johor and Terengganu will transition to Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan on Monday. 

The SOPs will be similar to other states under the 4th Phase. 

Datuk Seri Ismail also says that the government has approved the proposed SOPs for the setting up of an international travel bubble for Langkawi.

Among others, inbound travellers must be fully vaccinated and undergo PCR testing 72 hours before departure.

Another Rise in new COVID Cases

Daily COVID19 cases rose for a second straight day to 6,630 today. 

It's 420 cases higher than yesterday's figure. 

The Health Director General says 2,420,222  positive cases have now been recorded since the start of the pandemic
