Malaysian Family Foundation to help Covid orphans

The government has set up a new foundation to support Malaysian children orphaned by Covid-19.
The Yayasan Keluarga Malaysia will provide assistance to these kids, particularly in their education up to the age of 18.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this is in line with the Malaysian Family concept.
More than five thousand Malaysian children are estimated to have lost their parents to the coronavirus.

The Health Minister has urged his fellow politicians to ensure that they always wear their masks.
Khairy Jamaluddin says many of his colleagues have been seen in photos attending meetings without their masks on.
The minister pointed out that many politicians have health issues like hypertension and diabetes, and would be at a higher risk of complications if they contracted Covid-19.

Malaysia is one of 15 countries upgraded to Category 3 by Singapore, as part of the republic’s regular review of the Covid-19 situation.
It means all travelers from Malaysia can serve their 10-day stay-at-home notice at their declared accommodation…regardless of vaccination status or travel history.
