RM500 aid for those who lost income due to Covid-19

Individuals who lost their source of income due to Covid-19 will receive a one-off 500 ringgit payment.

The Prime Minister says the aid is expected to benefit nearly 870 thousand people.

The payment will be credited starting today.

The government has denied having any ulterior motives to ban all political gatherings and events related to elections.

The Health Ministry reiterated that this is to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Such activities are banned until November 27th, and will affect the upcoming Melaka state election.

The tourism bubble for Langkawi will be open to tourists from all countries.

The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry says strict procedures will be in place to curb the spread of Covid-19 at the resort island.
