Action taken against unvaxxed teachers after Nov 1

Authorities will wait until November 1st to take action against teachers who still refuse the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Education Ministry says this is in line with the Public Service Department’s earlier directive, to make the jab mandatory for civil servants.
The Ministry says some teachers have already taken their first dose, since the directive was announced.

Govt to ensure strict SOPs for Melaka polls
There must be a balance between the demand for public safety and democratic practice in the upcoming Melaka state election.
As such, the Defence Minister assures that the government will ensure strict COVID-19 SOPs will be enforced.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein believes the decision to ban all political gatherings was made based on a rising trend of people conducting social activities.

SOPs for Melaka state election to be announced soon
The COVID-19 SOPs for the upcoming Melaka state election will be announced before nomination day on November 8th.
The PM’s Department says the guidelines are currently being finalized.
It says public health and safety during the polls are crucial, as the battle against COVID-19 is still ongoing.
