TB mortality increased due to impact of Covid-19

There was a 5% rise in tuberculosis deaths last year.

However, the detection of TB cases dropped by 10%, due to the pandemic.

The Health Minister says SOPs like wearing a face mask and avoiding crowded places helped lower the spread of the disease.

18-year-old Malaysians will be allowed to vote in the Sarawak state election if it is held after December 31 this year.

The de facto Law Minister says voting for the 18-year-olds should be implemented, as it had been ordered by the Kuching High Court.

Malaysia reported 6,377 daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.

Most of the patients were either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic.

There were also 6,637 recoveries.
